great news!

Spice burgers are back! Thanks to Conor S. for the info…

“The level of interest has been extraordinary,” said Reg Power, finance director of Walsh Family Foods. “Mothers have called to say how disappointed they were that they couldn’t get spice burgers anymore for their kids in the local chipper. Three of the multiples have been on to place orders. Well-known companies have said they’re interested in the brand.”

For now, receiver Kieran Wallace of KPMG is allowing production for just two days a week and 20 workers have been re-employed.

“We’ve got to walk again before we can run,” said Mr Power, “but if we can pull this off, we have other products we’d like to bring out.”

Now my next retro food revival obsession! The re-introduction of 20p icepops!
Caspers – Icepops in the shape of Casper the Ghost from the kids cartoon and later pretty dismal films, usually white and lemon (i think?) flavoured
Porky Pigs – Pineapple flavoured ice pops
Fat Frogs – The inspiration for the alcopop-cocktail, shaped in the vision of a frog
Rockets – Red & Orange coloured and orange (i think?) flavoured in the shape of a rocket!

HB's 1990's lineup

Can you think of anymore?

It just seems like so many of today’s ice pops are ice creams, or something with chocolate in them.
Can’t one just have a simple flavoured ice on a stick to slurp at during a hot, dry day?

My name’s Fat Frog, I live in a swamp, and I play my guitar like a Fat Frog. Fat Frog, Frog, frog, frog. HB make ‘im he’s a real fat frog.

He’s got a big fat tummy like no other water-ice, lots of fruity flavour from his toes to his eyes, Fat Frog, Frog, frog, frog, HB make ‘im he’s a real fat frog

And yes I am a little worried with the amount of food-related content on the blog.
